Today I was alerted to a sale that can benefit a local farms and those people in the area wanting some good, cheap blueberries. Thank you to my great friend (and fellow Syracuse diehard fan)Shari, who has an awesome blog herself worth checking out as she blogs about her dealing with her cancer treatments called The Best Breast Cancer Ever.

Abbott Farms in Baldwinsville is advertising via their Facebook page that due to a wholesaler backing out of an order, they have a lot of blueberries they wish to sell of while they are still fresh.

The price? How about $1.50 a pint or only $18 for a flat (12 pints in a flat)? They are even offering a bigger discount if you are interested in 5 or more flats. They seem to have a lot but the deal is on a first come, first serve basis so plan accordingly.

Please pass the word on and help a local business as well as load up on some tasty blueberries. Just think of all the possibilties…blueberry pancakes, blueberry pie, and my favorite blueberry muffins. Here is the Facebook link again if you are interested in learning more.

UPDATE: as of 7-27-12 at 3pm EST, I received an email stating they were flying off the shelves and only 20% of the supply is remaining so if you are interested, I hope you are on your way to B’ville soon.

UPDATE: As of 5pm EST, the blueberries were SOLD OUT according to my buddy @PaulieDars. So glad to see so many people helping out a local business and taking advantage of such a great deal.
